MY APPROACH

Rooted in attachment theory and grounded in trauma-informed care.

My approach is compassionate, inclusive and anti-oppressive, honoring each person’s unique story and experience. I strive to create a space where all parts of you are welcomed, seen and supported as you grow, connect with yourself and others.

IFS & EMDR

I specialize in trauma-informed and neuroscience-based approaches to healing. I often find that integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) allows for deeper, more sustainable healing at a collaborative pace—one that’s attuned to the unique rhythm of each person’s nervous system.

Depending on your needs, I may also draw from Nonviolent Communication (NVC), Collaborative Problem Solving, Sand Tray Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation, communication, and creative expression.

What is IFS?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a compassionate, non-pathologizing approach to healing based on the understanding that we all have many inner “parts.” These parts may express themselves through burnout, perfectionism, anxiety, loneliness, chronic illness, or deep feelings of shame and sadness. IFS also recognizes that within ourselves, we each have a core Self—a source of compassion, curiosity, and connection. The goal of IFS is to help you get to know and work with your parts from this Self-led place, allowing painful emotions to soften, physical symptoms to ease, and long-held patterns and beliefs to transform. Over time, this process supports deep healing, integration of painful memories, and a greater sense of inner peace and wholeness. Learn more at ifs-institute.com.

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, research-based approach that helps the brain reprocess and integrate painful or traumatic memories so they no longer feel emotionally overwhelming. By supporting the nervous system’s natural ability to heal, EMDR can bring relief from trauma, anxiety, panic, and other distressing experiences. Through this process, difficult memories and core beliefs lose their emotional intensity and can be remembered as part of your story—without being defined or overwhelmed by them. Over time, EMDR fosters resilience, emotional balance, and post-traumatic growth. Learn more at emdria.org.
